2000 Cadillac Deville
Deville was improved for the year 2000. It was during this time when there was
massive restyling undergone. The Deville's Wheelbase increased by 1.5 inches,
but the body was two inches shorter and narrower than in the previous models.
Under the hood were its familiar Northstar V8 engines, that makes 300 horsepower
in the DTS and 275 bhp in other models. But there are still standard on DTS, the
Traction control and all-disc antilock, the Cadillac's StabiliTrak antiskid system,
which is optional on other models, and a Continuously Variable Road Sensing Suspension.

The year of much restyling of models for 2000, bring all Cadillac DeVilles with
GM's OnStar emergency or communications system, a front side airbags, and newly
optional rear side airbags. There was also New taillamps used LED technology,
which help the car to illuminate faster, plus Night Vision that used infrared
technology to project nice image to view the car ahead into the windshield. Trim
level names of the cars were changed in the year 2000. The former d'Elegance and
Concours become DHS or the Deville High Luxury Sedan and DTS or the Deville Touring
Sedan. However, Eldorado and Seville were keep the name convention.
